Torticollis 3 Session Package

$500.00
Help your baby learn their way out of torticollis without stretching. 3 visits zoom or Brooklyn office.

Why three visits?
For many babies with mild torticollis, three visits are often just the right amount for parents to both see that changes are occurring, and to feel confident that they know how to continue the learning. Transcending Your Story

$100.00
Using Mind-Body explorations to Illuminate and Transform Pervasive Patterns
A workshop with Stacey Klein, LCSW and Dan Rindler, GCFP

Movement, emotions and beliefs are intimately intertwined. Our simplest gestures and habits of movement  -  how we sit, move, stand,  reach out or hold back - reflect our deepest beliefs about our selves and our relationships with others. Because these patterns have become so fixed and repetitive, we can feel frustrated about our potential for rewiring and change, but the good news is that what was once learned can be unlearned.  Practices involving slowing down and paying mindful attention to our unfolding moment to moment experiences and choices are one of the most effective ways we can transform these limiting beliefs and their corresponding expression in our bodies.

Join Feldenkrais practitioner Dan Rindler and Somatic psychotherapist Stacey Klein, in this innovative exploration of the intersection of movement, emotion and relationship.  You will learn powerful mind body awareness explorations and exercises which illuminate the connection between your unconscious movement patterns, your beliefs and emotions. These practices will help you discover new options for more meaningful and renewed living in your relationship with yourself and your world.

This workshop is open to all.  No prior movement experience is necessary.

Where: At Moving Body Resources, 112, West 27th Street, #400. New York, NY 10001
When:  Sunday March 11, 2018, 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Take Root and Branch Out!

$30.00
Take Roots and Branch Out!
Refine the use of your feet and hip joints to form a reliable foundation for movement on and off the mat.
A workshop with Dan Rindler, Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner
Sunday October 1, 230pm-4:00pm
Shambhala Yoga and Dance Studio, 367 St Marks Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11238

The organization of your feet and legs for support is a major factor in determining your ability to move with efficiency, ease and power.  Learn guided movement exercises which explore moving in and out of unusual variations of bridge and wheel poses, to refine our ability to access support and strength from the ground up.  The principles explored can help you fine-tune your movement on and off the mat.  This workshop is open to all abilities including those with injuries or other limitations. What will you do with the new possibilities?

For those new to Feldenkrais:  You can do this!  The seemingly simple, slow mindful exercises of Feldenkrais method are accessible to all, including those in chronic pain.  The "exercises" are not exercise in the traditional sense.  Rather, they are unique explorations, almost movement-puzzles, which combine an understanding of body mechanics with a highly effective approach to learning to shift out of long-held habits of movement and behavior. This gentle approach will lead you to learn new patterns of coordination, improved posture, balance, and reduced strain whether you are athletic or feel unable to take most movement classes.

Standing Your Ground: June 11 Workshop at MBR, 10am-1pm

$75.00
Standing Your Ground : How Movement Work and Body Oriented Psychotherapy Can Help You Transform Your Relationship With Yourself and Others

• Would you like to learn how to feel more grounded and connected to yourself and less tossed around by the ups and downs of your feelings and life?

• Do you sometimes feel stuck in your life, or in psychotherapy - knowing intellectually what changes you want to make but unable to make them emotionally?

While therapy and movement work can each be powerful in their own right, when combined you simultaneously experience an integration of your psychological functioning and a sense of foundational support through your physical structure which supports how you meet your own experience and everything in your world. Learning how to mindfully refine your movement opens up more options for an expanded range in living and meeting others.

This workshop brings together two seasoned practitioners who practice mind-body integration. Dan Rjndler, GCFP is an experienced Feldenkrais practitioner who specializes in using movement work with anxiety and other psychological issues in children and adults. Stacey Klein, LCSW is a seasoned somatic and relational psychotherapist who integrates body, mind and spirit in her practice with children, adolescents and adults.

In this 3 hour workshop, you will be guided through gentle experiential body awareness and movement exercises designed to heighten awareness of your habitual and unconscious patterns and discover untapped inner resources that will help you feel more empowered and grounded in your life. We will use individual exploration and partner experiments where you will be able to share your experiences with your partners according to your own comfort level.

This workshop is open to all, including new and experienced movement practitioners, psychotherapists and anyone interested in beginning or going deeper into their own mindfulness practice or doing deeper work on getting unstuck. No prior experience is necessary; we will support you if movement is a new frontier for you!
